Model 1873 Trapdoor Carbine with 1890 Alterations, c. 1890, walnut stock with steel buttplate with compartment, steel lockplate marked with U.S./SPRINGFIELD, serial number marked on the breech 399316, and on top of the trapdoor US/MODEL/1873, steel saddlebar on the left side of the stock, sight and front band are the 1890 alteration, as well as the front sight cover, barrel lg. 22, overall lg. 41 1/4 in.

Stock has dings and nicks from use, steel parts have some patina, and triggerguard has a few light pits.
