Model 1873/79 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle with Bayonet and Scabbard, c. 1879-85, walnut stock with light cartouche dated 1880, steel lockplate marked with an eagle and U.S./SPRINGFIELD, serial number marked near breech 136621 and on front of trapdoor U.S/MODEL/1873, barrel lg. 32 5/8, overall lg. 52, overall bayonet lg. 21 3/8 in.
Estimate $500-700

Stock has some dings and a small crack near side screw, steel parts are plum colored.
