Cadet Model 1869 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle, c. 1870, walnut stock with double cartouche on left side, steel lockplate marked with an eagle and U.S./SPRINGFIELD, and 1864, front of trapdoor marked with 1870, an eagle over crossed arrows, and U.S, serial number 743 on both receiver and barrel, barrel lg. 29 5/8, overall lg. 49 in.

Stock has dings and nicks, and a crack near the side screw, steel parts have some pitting and light damage, missing ramrod.
