Model 1868 Trapdoor Springfield, c. 1869, serial number 756, walnut stock with a name carved on the side and butt, steel fittings, tail of the lockplate dated 1863 and marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD, breechblock marked 1869 over an eagle, arrows and U.S., barrel lg. 32 1/2, overall lg. 52 in.

Provenance: From the collection of the late Peter F. Frazier and M. Prudence Fleck.

Stock has dings and a name carved in the butt, steel parts in good condition, missing the cleaning rod.
