Model 1861 Springfield Rifle-musket with Bayonet, c. 1861, walnut stock with light cartouche marks on left side and initials PJQ carved on left side of butt, steel fittings, lock dated 1861 and marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD, and a steel bayonet marked U.S., barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 55 3/4 in.
Estimate $400-600

Stock has some dings and nicks, steel parts have some pitting, especially at breech and buttplate.
