Second Model Maynard Carbine, c. 1863-65, walnut stock with cartouche marks on left side of butt, case hardened frame marked on right side MANUFACTURED BY/MASS. ARMS CO./CHICOPEE FALLS., and on the left EDWARD MAYNARD/PATENTEE/MAY 27, 1851/DEC. 6, 1859, steel sling bar and ring, and blued octagonal to round barrel, barrel lg. 20, overall lg. 36 3/4 in.

Overall in very good condition with only very minor dings and finish loss.
