Description:

Model 1841 Percussion Rifle, c. 1851, walnut stock with brass patchbox, inspector initials JLR on the left side of the stock, tail of lockplate marked HARPERS/FERRY/1851, with an eagle over US next to the hammer, steel barrel has adjustable leaf sight, dated on the tang 1851, with WW/P on the left side of the barrel, a bayonet lug on the right side, brass barrel bands and triggerguard, all-steel ramrod, barrel lg. 33, overall lg. 49 in.
