Model 1840 Harpers Ferry Conversion Musket, c. 1842, walnut stock with steel fittings, tail of the lockplate marked HARPERS/FERRY/1842, with an eagle over US in front of the hammer, Model 1861-style rear sight, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 3/4 in.
