Description:

Model 1861 Savage Revolving Firearms Company Rifle-musket, c. 1863-64, walnut stock with steel fittings, lockplate marked with an eagle over US, SAVAGE R.F.A. CO/MIDDLETOWN. Ct., and dated 1863, barrel marked at breech with V/P over an eagle, and dated 1864, has leather sling and wooden tompion, barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 56 1/4 in.
Estimate $500-700

Stock has some dings and scratches, steel parts have some very light rust, and some pitting around nipple, leather sling is dry.
