Model 1842 Springfield Rifle-musket, c. 1853, walnut stock stamped with a small D/10 on top of comb, steel lockplate marked with an eagle over US, and SPRING/FIELD/1853 on the rear, steel barrel has V/P over an eagle, and D/10 on the breech, barrel has long-range rear sight, and steel bands, ramrod has cupped end, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 3/4 in.

Stock has some light dings but is in good condition, steel parts have some light patina but also in very good condition.
