Model 1816 Flintlock Musket, c. 1839, walnut stock with light JM cartouche, steel fittings, lockplate dated on the tail 1839, and marked US/D. NIPPES/PHILA in front of the hammer, barrel marked at the breech US/JM/P, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 5/8 in.

Stock has some dings and nicks and a piece behind the cock that looks to have been glued back in place, steel parts have a light patina appropriate to its age.
