French An IX Dragoon Musket, c. early 19th century, figured-walnut stock with brass and steel fittings, lightly marked lockplate with brass pan, steel barrel marked MD at breech, barrel lg. 40 1/2, overall lg. 56 in.
Provenance: From the collection of Gerald Stowe, former curator of arms and armor at the West Point Museum.

Stock has a few nicks, but gun is in very good condition.
