Continental Dog-lock Musket, c. 18th century, walnut stock with brass faceted ramrod pipes, nose cap, triggerguard, sideplate, and buttplate, steel dog-lock, octagonal to round barrel with proofmarks at breech, bayonet lock ring near the muzzle, barrel lg. 37 1/4, overall lg. 52 1/4 in.
Provenance: From the collection of Gerald Stowe, former curator of arms and armor at the West Point Museum.
Overall in good condition, light patina on brass and steel parts, replaced frizzen screw, some dings and nicks in stock.
