British Flintlock Holster Pistol, c. late 18th century, walnut stock with engraved brass fittings, two-screw lockplate engraved with script Gill below pan, sideplate engraved with a panoply of arms, top of barrel marked with two crossed scepter stamps and an engraved 54, barrel lg. 9, overall lg. 15 1/2 in.
Provenance: From the collection of Gerald Stowe, former curator of arms and armor at the West Point Museum.

Pistol in very good condition with some light wood loss around pins, and one small crack near the muzzle on the left side.
