U.S. Model 1838 Alger Coehorn Mortar, c. 1863, bronze tube with muzzle marked C.A. & Co./172 LBS/1863/T.J.R./No. 39, with 1404 marked above right trunnion, lg. 16 1/2 in.
Provenance: Deaccessioned from a private museum in New England.
Tube is in very good condition with light patina and a few dings on the trunnions.
