Model 1855 Cavalry Shell Jacket, c. 1861-65, blue twill-woven cloth body with yellow herringbone twill tape on cuffs, collar, and body, coarse jean cloth lining, and white muslin sleeve linings, marked size 2 in right sleeve with an undecipherable inspector's stamp.
