Description:

Singing Bird Automaton, probably France, c. 1900, the brass case with repousse decoration, single bird with yellow, blue, and black plumage on a limb with cloth flowers, clockwork mechanism activates tail, head, and beak, ht. 11 in.

Provenance: The Estate of Charles P. Fisher.

Mechanism works with bird moving head, beak and tail, sings, bird dusty and has color fading.
