Model 1840 NCO Sword and Scabbard, c. 1864, brass hilt and grip, steel blade marked on one side made by/AMES MFG. CO./CHICOPEE, and on the other U.S/A.D.K./1864, black leather scabbard with brass throat, brass drag marked J.C.W., blade lg. 32 1/4, overall lg. 38 3/4 in.

Brass has some patina, counter-guard is slightly bent down, blade in good condition, scabbard has a fold just above drag.
