Parangwith Sheath, Indonesia, possibly Java, 19th century, the wood hilt with carved and pierced leaf scroll decorations, the single-edge blade slightly curved and incised "1658," the wood sheath embellished with brass rings and brass mounts embossed with scrolling flowers, overall lg. 23 1/2 in.
