Small Collection of Mabel Normand Ephemera, including issues of Liberty from the fall of 1930, an issue of Photoplay from May 1930 containing the story "Mabel Normand's Last Message to Her Fans," a set of storyboard photographs from the 1923 film Suzanna, a newspaper article from January 1930 about the ill Normand, publicity stills, and two signed photographs.
N.B. Mabel Normand (1892-1930) was an American silent film actress and comedienne, a costar of Charlie Chaplin's, and one of the film industry's first female screenwriters and directors. She opened her own film studio in 1918, was caught up in various scandals during her lifetime, and died of tuberculosis on February 23, 1930, at the age of 37.
