Altered French Bisque Socket Head Boy Doll with Goatee and Moustache, late 19th/early 20th century, head unmarked, with light brown mohair wig and glued pate, fixed blue glass eyes with painted lashes, brown painted moustache and goatee, bisque breast plate and arms, cloth body legs, ivory cotton shirt, embroidered silk vest, black wool and silk jacket and matching trousers, and black leatherette booties; together with metal and wood doll stand, doll ht. 15 1/2 in.
This was originally a girl doll - its hair has been cut and facial hair added to make it resemble a boy doll with a goatee. Earrings still visible.
