Regency-style Mahogany Carlton House Desk, late 19th/early 20th century, string-inlaid throughout with ebonized moldings to the drawer fronts, the super section with turned gallery and two rows of small drawers on a leather-inset writing desk with a single frieze drawer flanked by a row of two small drawers, all on six rectangular tapered legs with imitation fluting to the knees and terminating in cuffed foot, ht. 38 1/8, wd. 45 1/2, dp. 24 in.

Repaired breaks to gallery. Leather with usage wear abrasions and loss. New bracket to underside. Scattered nicks to molding (some with touch-ups to ebonized areas). Some drawers are difficult to open. Legs with abrasions and discoloration around joint, possibly repaired (see photographs).
