George II Sterling Silver Tea Caddy, London, 1734-35, Edward Feline, maker, square, with a stepped lid and engraved armorial to the front purportedly of Sir John Molesworth, ht. 4 1/2 in., approx. 16.4 troy oz.
N.B. A copy of the original receipt from S.J. Shrubsole, dated October 17th, 1956, accompanies the lot.
Probable monogram/engraving removal (there is a rectangular impression under the armorial that is visible from the reverse). Age-typical wear.
