Bergama Rug, West Anatolia, mid-19th century, the vivid red field with a deep indigo hooked square containing angular floral vines, latch-hooked brackets, flanked by gold, ivory, and indigo hooked octagons enclosing palmettes, all within an indigo border of stars-in-octagons and hooked diamonds, indigo and red striped kilim ends, 6 ft. 6 in. x 5 ft. 7 in.
