This representation of the H.M.S Shannoncarrying by boarding the American FrigateChesapeake. After a cannonade of five minutes. on the 1st of June, 1813. Is dedicated by his obliged and most grateful Servant R.H. King. C. 1830, titled in inscriptions. Engraving, no. 3 in a series of four, 15 x 18 1/2 in., in a later molded giltwood frame. Condition: Backed with linen, margins trimmed near plate edges, toning.
