reverse, identified on several labels affixed to the reverse of the frame.
Oil on board, 16 1/2 x 20 3/4 in. (41.9 x 52.7 cm),framed.
Condition: Minor surface grime.

There is a deliberate texture change between the foreground paint which presents a rough texture and the smooth paint of the peanuts and the sunset background. The point of change in the texture conforms to the bottom outline of the peanuts and extends slightly higher on the sides of the composition. Gold leaf or foil has been applied in two areas in the center top of the pile of peanuts. Some of this gold appears to be have craquelure and some losses. Otherwise good condition.
