The Prodigal Son as Swineherd
, a later printing with the publication line of Gerard Valck. Signed and identified within the plate, collector's stamp (see below) to verso, various collectors' pencil and ink annotations to lower edge of image and verso. Engraving on laid paper with coat of arms and a second watermark, plate size 17 1/16 x 25 1/8 in. (43.2 x 63.6 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Margins approximately 1/8 inch, margins and vertical crease reinforced on verso.

Provenance: Charles M. Lea (1853-1927),Philadelphia (Lugt, 1662a); Sotheby's New York, Sale 8123, Lot 57, November, 14, 2005; to a private Massachusetts collection.
