Sunlight on Stone, Caudebec-en-Caux, 1931, trial proof of the second (final) state (Fletcher, 241). Signed and dated "John Taylor Arms - 1931" in pencil l.r., inscribed "Trial proof XXVII ii/Trial proof in warm ink" in pencil l.l. Etching in brown/black ink on laid paper with elaborate fleur-de-lis and 1794 watermark, plate size 14 3/8 x 7 5/8 in. (36.4 x 19.3 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Margins approximately 1/2 inch, gently light-struck.
