French Concert Harp, Erard Freres, Paris, 1803, the headplate engraved PAR BREVET D'INVENTION ERARD FRERES FACTEURS DE FORTE PIANO & DE HARPES DU ROI DE SES MENUS PLAISERS & DE LA COUR IMPERIAL DE RUSSIE RUE DU MAIL, NO. 13 & 21 A PARIS, forty-one strings, seven pedals, ht. 64 1/2 in.

Provenance: Sold by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, to benefit the collection.

Numerous cracks, and wear and tear. Sound board is bowed. Missing several pegs. 18 inch crack in the body. Needs re-leafing, gesso and gilding required overall. Needs professional restoration. Doesnot have a case or a tuner. Crack in column; column is warped.
