Folio, with three added maps, two small-format and intact, the other, a large map of Asia, torn away but for a small scrap, lacking signature 8E (two leaves, pages 657-660),some leaves torn, title page toned and dusty, first few leaves detached, intermittent faults to blank gutter of the text due to the pressing of botanical specimens, in later half leather and corners, mention of the second volume (never published) trimmed away from the last text leaf, 15 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.
