Exceptional Northeast Carved Wood Belt Cup, Micmac (?), c. first quarter 19th century, the bottom carved and incised with the face of a "voyageur," framed by incised geometric decoration and with a small relief-carved female figure peering over the edge, the toggle in the form of a beaver with geometric decoration, attached by a hide strap to the woman's waist, honey-brown patina, custom stand, lg. of cup 4 1/2, toggle lg. 3 in.
