Lion Head-pommel Silver-hilt Sword, Scabbard, Belt, and Cane, c. early 19th century, silver lion head and silver-wrapped light brown bone grip, S-shaped slotted counter-guard with two silver chains from lion's mouth to the quillon, fire blue and gilt on steel blade with foliate designs and crossed flags, damaged leather scabbard with brass throat, middle band, and drag, with red morocco leather belt embossed with gold designs, and a wooden cane with ivory pommel, brass ferrule at the bottom, and a silver band which reads Capt. Simeon Moors August 28th 1852, sword blade lg. 31 3/8, overall lg. 38 1/2 in.
