Benson, London, By Special Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, outer Arabic minutes, seconds dial in the upper quadrant and hours below all with blued steel hands, eight-day damascened plate movement with rear plate engraved F. W. Benson, London, 9076, jeweled train through the pallets, dead-beat escapement, maintaining power, brass pulley, nickel-cased mercury temperature-compensated pendulum with regulating scale calibrated 0-180, silvered beat scale, brass-cased weight and original winding key, ht. 75 in.

Left and right sides have 2-3 inch age cracks to upper section of base, case sides screwed in place as originally manufactured, movement with original lacquered plates.
