Molded Copper Pineapple-form Architectural Finial, New England, late 19th century, molded and soldered sheet copper in the form of a pineapple, the symbol of hospitality, with scrolled foliage, mounted on a round, domed base, verdigris surface with traces of earlier paint, ht. 18, dia. 13 in.
Provenance: Walters-Benisek, purchased in 1999.
Several dents to the pineapple, leaf tips, and base, a few seam separations.
