Famille Rose Moonflask with European Figures, China, 20th century or earlier, the shoulders applied with molded bamboo-form handles with gilt decorations on fuchsia ground, with bats against wan-fret ground between a ruyi-head border and a scrolling lotus band on the neck, each side with a large roundel below a gilt shou character, one depicting two shepherds with their flock in a garden with flowers and fruiting trees, with castles and villas in the background, the other painted with five men and women along a grassy riverbank with a playful dog, with a church situated across the river, all reserved on a white ground decorated with scrolling lotuses, bats, and gilt shou characters, with a floral band along the short foot, six-character Qianlong mark on turquoise base, ht. 6 1/4 in.
