Attributed to Clinton Arrowood (American, 1939-1990)

Caricature of a Bassoonist. Signed and dated "Arrowood 66" l.r. Ink and watercolor on paper, sight size 29 1/4 x 19 3/8 in., framed (under glass). Condition: Small repair or white spot to u.r., not examined out of frame.

N.B. Clinton Arrowood was a musician and illustrator best known for his drawings of animals, especially for such books as Alligators and Music, Frogs and the Ballet, and Lambs' Tales from Great Operas, all written by Donald Elliott.
