Morris Henry Hobbs (American, 1892-1967)

Two Views of the French Quarter: Old Madison St., 1939, edition of 300; and Pirate's Alley, 1943, edition of 300. Both signed "Morris Henry Hobbs" in pencil l.r., titled in pencil l.l., numbered in pencil l.c., and titled and dated within the plate. Etchings on paper, plate sizes to 9 7/8 x 6 7/8 in. (24.8 x 17.4 cm),framed.
Condition: Subtle toning, Madison with pale staining or foxing, not examined out of frames.
Estimate $700-900

Sheet is 12 3/4 x 9 3/4 in. Hinged at top with what appears to be cellophane tape. Pale mat burn. Rippling at top edge. Pale foxing.
