Alexander Calder (American, 1898-1976)

Beastie, 1974, from THE FLYING COLORS COLLECTION, published 1975. Monogrammed and dated within the matrix, Flying Colors dry stamp l.r. Color lithograph on cream paper, image size 16 3/4 x 22 5/8 in. (43.4 x 57.3 cm), framed.
Condition: Pale staining and/or toning, not examined out of frame.

Provenance: From the estate of Joan Sonnabend, Boston, Massachusetts.

Paper is brown in tone. Hinged at top. Minor foxing, especially along top. Minor rippling along top edge. Mat burn on recto. Mat burn on verso at very edges with ink from print coming through.
