George Copeland Ault (American, 1891-1948)

Came's House, 1934, edition of 25. Signed and dated "G.C. Ault '34." in pencil l.r., numbered "1/25" in pencil l.l. Lithograph on paper, image size 14 1/8 x 9 7/8 in. (35.7 x 25.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Unobtrusive toning, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $500-700

Out of the frame the sheet measures 17 1/8 x 12 1/2 in. and is a wove paper with a partial NAVARRE water mark. There are multiple overlapping lines of mat burn. There is brown paper tape to three edges of the verso. The toning is darker at the upper edge of the image, and evenly decreases moving down through the composition. There are two ragged tear to the lower margin will away from the image, both about 1 inch long.
