Dressed Profile Portrait Miniature of a Gentleman, probably America, late 18th century, with a silk ribbon suspending an oval card with applied cut-out and watercolor painted paper profile of a man's head, and cut-out and stitched silk jacket, frilled shirt, and cravat, placed on a black fabric ground, (imperfections),oval 4 x 2 1/8 in., mounted in a later giltwood frame.

The ribbon is stained and frayed, the oval card has old glue residue around the edges, some tears and creases to the portrait paper on forehead/side, clothing color is faded, and has some staining, possibly spots of glue where buttons were placed previously.
