Woven Splint Basket, possibly made by an Eastern Woodland Indian tribe, late 19th / early 20th century, round-over-square basket with carved upright hardwood handle, the basket sides ornamented with three blue-painted bands, and a medial fancy curlicue band, (minor loss on base corner),ht. 9 1/2, dia. 8 in.
