"Federal Bower" Needlework Family Record, "Ann Barry ended this work December the Twenty Fourth in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight/aged nine years and Ten months," wrought with silk threads on a linen ground, with six rows of alphabets over the central reserve inscribed with the names of the eight "Sons and Daughters of Thomas and Ann Barry," ornamented with potted plants, crowns, and a "Federal Bower" with an Federal eagle in a reserve over ten stylized trees stitched with monograms at the top, all enclosed in a geometric flowering vine, (fading, toning), 22 x 17 in., in a later molded wood frame.
