Chippendale Tiger Maple Chest of Drawers, probably Massachusetts, late 18th century, the molded top above a case of four thumb-molded graduated drawers on ogee bracket base, old replaced pulls, old surface, (restoration),ht. 37 3/4, case wd. 36, case dp. 17 in.

Note: A handwritten note taped to the inside of the top drawer reports that this bureau is attributed to Theophilus Shove of Berkley, Massachusetts, and was made c. 1760, and includes a reference to a 1978 auction catalog.
