Small Blue/Green-painted Oval Covered Box, probably New England, 19th century, pine top and bottom with bent maple sides, the cover and sides joined with opposing fingers fastened with copper tacks, (imperfections),ht. 2 3/4, 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 in.

There is a large splotch of dark shiny paint on the top of the cover, and uneven paint color from wear and moisture, two small vertical cracks on the bottom of one end of the box.
