Painted Wooden Wall Box, America, early 19th century, with pierced shaped back with make-do sheet-metal plate reinforcement at the top, old white paint over earlier red and cream, with red guilloche design on the front, ht. 11 3/4, wd. 11, dp. 4 3/4 in.
