Crewelwork Bedcover, reportedly of Connecticut origin, 18th century, stitched with indigo blue yarns in a bold undulating leafy vine pattern, on a four-piece tan woven wool fabric foundation, signed with initials "TS" and two other initials, backed and edged at a later time with white twilled cotton fabric, conservation work executed with numerous areas of stitched repairs, (losses),78 x 72 in.
Provenance: Purchased from Fred Fuessenich in 1971.

Since conservation efforts done some time ago. numerous holes/losses have occurred, but the running stich repairs executed were neatly done.
