Portrait Miniature of a Young Boy Wearing a Red Jacket. Unsigned. Watercolor on ivory, 2 7/8 x 2 1/4 in., in a pressed-leather case. Condition: Ivory slightly bowed, crack u.l. near edge.
Under the mat it appears the artist extended the ivory panel to include a small extension on the right. It appears as a crack, but when the mat is removed the extension is clearly what the artist intended. The slight bowing of the larger ivory plaque is not quite flush with the small extension.
