Pieced Chintz and Cotton Fabric Geometric Star Patterned Quilt, America, late 19th century, composed of polished chintz and other printed cotton segments joint to form rows of eight-point star and half-star motifs, with contrasting square and triangular white cotton segments, surrounded by wide floral chintz borders, and backed with white cotton, with diamond, shell, and zigzag quilting, (toning and stains to white segments),98 x 98 in.

Each white cotton segment and the backing has toning and fairly light diffused staining or stain spots with a few standing out more noticeably than the rest.
