The Clipper Ship "The Routenburn". Signed "R.Macgreger" l.l., titled in pencil on the reverse u.c. and on the mat l.c. Watercolor on paper, sheet size 13 x 19 7/8 in., unframed. Condition: Mat burn, fading.
N.B. The Routenburn was a four-masted iron barque built by Robert Steele & Company, Greenock, United Kingdom, for the "Burn" line of R. Shankland & Company and was launched in April, 1881. The vessel was scrapped in 1932.
