Regency-style Diminutive Inlaid Mahogany Veneer Bureau Bookcase, England, mid-19th century, in two parts, the upper section with raised-center pediment and applied fret-carved frieze over two glass doors with oval and flowerhead mullions, enclosing shelved interior lined in dupioni silk, the crossbanded lower section with three short drawers over pullout writing surface, above projecting case fitted with four long drawers, on bracket feet, ht. 69 1/2, wd. 28, dp. 15 in.

One short drawer lacking ring to pull. Pulls replaced. Veneers cleaned up and reglued. Bubbling to veneers on sides of case. Scattered loss to veneer. Age-typical wear. Fold-out writing surface with back pegs worn down so that drawer fully pulls out of carcass. Short crack to one glass pane. Small scattered patches.
